Flagging comments for review
Ok, so I know the moderation tools allow us to remove threads or flag posts or replies for review if we just want a portion removed. But what do we do with comments?
Here is my situation: I have a comment that I don't want to remove completely. However, there is a link in the comment I am not happy with. If it were a post or a reply I would flag it and then request that the link be removed. However, as the link is in a comment on a reply I am not sure what to do with it. I feel that removing the comment completely would be heavy handed, but I don't seem to have a mechanism to address the inappropriate link.
What do you suggest?

Inappropriate? We should really have a flag on comments, too. In the meantime, you can send the request to us (link to the reply and then mention the comment by its number in the sequence).
We're moving towards giving moderators much more direct access to edit items, BTW. Of course with the changelog and clear indications when edits have been made. -
Inappropriate? Also, Monique, for flagging comments, we recommend people flag the reply and then in the notes explain that you're actually flagging the comment and what you want done with it.
Sorry for the hassle! -
Inappropriate?@Thor - thanks for the feedback. Looking forward to these developments.
@Amy - just tried your method with the comment I had in mind. The thread is a bit of a monster, so I hope my directions are clear. Will use this approach in future (or until the new functionality is implemented, anyway!)
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Just came here to post about this. Comments need flags too. ;)

Inappropriate?Yes, of course! We're doing a rev on the topic page soon and we'll make sure to include this improvement.

Awesome. :)
