Float images in "Message to your community"
I want to put an < img > tag in my company's "Message to your community" section, but I want to also put text. So that everything looks nice and the text wraps around the image, I want to put style="float: left" on the image tag, but Get Satisfaction is stripping this out.
Please allow me to float: left.
Please allow me to float: left.

The company has not planned to implement this.

Inappropriate? It doesn't surprise me that this particular location is less friendly to images. I guess we envisioned it to be less about display and more about just straight text. I'll share this with the team and see if they have an opinion about it.

Inappropriate?I see. I realize that images are not the main focus, but it would be nice to add an additional logo or badge or something in this area. Since the text I added takes up three or four lines anyway, it just made sense to me to float an image alongside.
Until the redesign happens and I am able to prominently feature the official support contact methods, I am using this area to direct customers to our official support channels (see http://getsatisfaction.com/westhost) -
Inappropriate?I have worked around this problem. Although the style attributes are stripped from the HTML entered into the "Message from your company" box, class attributes are not. Since the main CSS file for Get Satisfaction already has a class named "left" I just used < img class="left" ... > to get my image to float properly. Problem solved!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Glad to hear that you found a workaround to this.
