Mark topic as a duplicate of another?
A lot of people don't check for topics that match their question and instead are posting duplicate topics. Is there any way company reps can mark a topic as a duplicate of another so that people watching one topic will be updated as the other topic is resolved?
It's a huge pain to resolve one question/topic and then try to find all duplicates of that topic manually and re-post the resolution.

Inappropriate?Believe me, we know how frustrating this can be! We do have plans to do a topic-merging feature down the road but currently no, there is no way to do this other than to manually point people from one topic to another by posting the link as a reply.
I’m sorry there's not a better way yet

Inappropriate?A merge feature would be fantastic. Any idea on timeframe?

Inappropriate?I'll have to check in with our product design team on that. We are all eager for it, though!
I’m trying to be patient

Inappropriate?I believe merging will be a part of the team dashboard and tools we are working on, so my guess is by some time in September.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? It would be nice if there were templated responses for cases like this... especially where another question has been answered -- and you could import the remote answer, since perhaps the wording is just *slightly* different... that way people can share their question and tweet about it so the permalink still works, but you don't have to duplicate your work.
