new question not rembered after user acct signup completed
1.) user not logged-in, enters a new question.
2.) at bottom of new question screen, user clicks 'sign up!'
3.) fill out user acct form, signup successful
4.) taken to new question screen without any of my old question text remaining.
5.) i get frustrated and don't file the question i was going to ask since i'd have to re-type it from scratch. arr!

I agree completely!
If we don't get this corrected it will encourage people that would be willing to sign up to one-time post their topics. We want to lower the barrier to registration as much as possible, an I think this is one of our stumbling blocks.

Inappropriate?Turns out I didn't finish it that weekend, but it is definitely still on the plate! I'll get to it just as soon as some of the showstoppers are out of the way.
