Hi, Gannon. Sorry to see that you want to leave. We do occasionally have companies who no longer want to participate on our site; saddens me, but we know that we won't always be for everyone. If there are no conversations by customers in your company section, I can probably help remove your company listing from our site. If, however, there are conversations from customers, I am not able to remove them, as that would also entail removing our users' content, which is something we expressly avoid. Shoot me an email at eric [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com if you need help, or respond here if that is preferable.

Inappropriate?Although GetSatisfaction is great - it seems not fitting our goal.
For this reason same question for our organization: please remove our organization. There is only one support topic left (which I am unable to remove for some reason) which I created myself with only one reply, from me as well.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Hello Eric,
We would also like to investigate removing our company's page.
How could we go about removing our company's page or redirecting users to our own feedback form? We are doing this for the protection of our consumers' privacy.
Does a company get the right to delete consumers' posts if they pay GetSatisfaction for a premium account?
Best regards,
Romy
I’m thankful
-
Hi Romy,
Did you get help with this yet?
Paid accounts have access to the moderation tools which do give you the ability to remove content. However, to uphold our value proposition of transparency and honesty, your changes are tracked in a publicly viewable change log and can be disputed by anyone. We require that companies using the moderation tools do so responsibly and in the spirit of our Community Guidelines and Company - Customer Pact. -
Inappropriate?Hi, I'd also like to remove my company from Get Satisfaction.
I like what you guys are doing, but the inability for people to leave comments without creating another account is a real limitation. So I've created my own support forums.
I know you offer login integration, but only for paid accounts. For a small startup organisation, your basic plan probably costs more than their hosting (it certainly does for me at the moment).
It's a shame, by the time my site gets big enough for me to afford GS, I'll have too much invested in my own support systems to switch back. I think the inability to integrate at an early stage will put off a number of startups when they are building their systems but don't have any income.
I would seriously consider making the login integration a feature of the free package.

Hi Paul, what's your company? Can you give me the GS url for it? -
Paul said: "For a small startup organisation, your basic plan probably costs more than their hosting (it certainly does for me at the moment)."
I'm looking at Get Satisfaction for another project I have (a start up). I'm wondering why people, here, are looking at removing their companies from Get Satisfaction. I only found one who gave a reason (Paul, above) and I have to wonder... He is right. Your least expensive plan is quite expensive for a startup project. :( -
I've actually decided to keep my GS page. It won't be my main support site, as I can't integrate it into my site without ponying up quite a bit, but I'd rather have one as a secondary place that people can come to if they already have a GS account.
Of all the features missing from the bottom two packages, the lack of single sign-on is a real deal-breaker for me. Perhaps when (if?!) I start making a decent income from the site, I'll move everything over to GS. I'd certainly like to as it's great, I just can't justify the cost at the moment :( -
Total Diving Team Leader - Also, keep in mind that you don't have to pay anything to use Get Satisfaction. You can add your organization, get an employee badge and participate with your customers for free. You can even add our widgets to your web site for free. The paid plans just add additional features on top of the free plan for those organizations who want to use them. -
Inappropriate?I want to remove my company. I like Get Satisfaction, it's not that. It's because I got fired. So, I should really say: I want to remove my ex-company, they are totally out of touch!
I’m amused
-
Hi Chad, What's your ex-company? Can you give me the GS url for it? And you want to remove it altogether? Not just be removed as an employee? -
Inappropriate? How does one remove themselves as an employee?
-
If you have admin level access you can remove yourself from the "Employees & Roles" page in the Admin section. Otherwise, you can ask an admin from your team to remove you or ask us here at GS to do it. What company do you need to be removed from? -
Inappropriate?I'd like to remove a company I made too - it's this url http://getsatisfaction.com/scordk

Inappropriate?I'd like to remove a company I made too. It's a my mistake. I'm sorry. - it's this url http://getsatisfaction.com/gpsmapcard http://getsatisfaction.com/gpsphotorino http://getsatisfaction.com/thethumb
-
I've removed these for you. -
Inappropriate?Hello, we wish to remove our company: http://getsatisfaction.com/diomatic
Its a great tool but we realize we are not ready to take care of this right now.
Thanks -
Hi Marie-France - I realized you never received a response. Did you still want your company removed from Get Satisfaction? Since there is no user content there, I'm happy to do that for you. -
Inappropriate?I just added a product as a company by mistake. When you search it says 'Company or Product', then you click add and you think that you can still add a company or product, but in fact you can only add a company. Thats very confusing I think.
The company, which is in fact a product, is: http://getsatisfaction.com/touchbb
Can you remove it for me? Thanks!
I’m confused
-
Sorry you didn't received a reply sooner, Andreas. I'll remove it for you now. -
Also, sorry for the confusion. Communities are based on companies / organizations. Once you have your community created, you can add products and services to it. Then those products and services can be attached to topics. -
Inappropriate? We would also like to remove our company. We have a dedicated support forum now and so splitting our support in two is far from ideal.
At the same time there are some fundamental flaws in the process here that don't sit well. For example responding to a customer enquiry doesn't even register as a question answered unless they feel inclined to ackowledge it as such - end result we look uncaring and negligent in our duties.
That aside, frankly any service that holds companies to ransom - refusing to let them close their account - has no place being in the customer service business to begin with!
I’m angry and frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Hi, Wayne. We have a set of moderation tools that does allow employees to mark problems as solved (among many other things), but I understand if you don't want to participate. We don't want to hold anyone ransom. We just don't want to remove other peoples' content. We try to do our best to balance the wants of companies and also respect the content that everyone creates. We also don't prevent customers from creating their own customer communities, so it is not really possible to prevent people from even talking about a company or product. We're just trying to keep things as open as possible, but I definitely hear you when you say that you don't want to be here.
I'll do my best to help you by removing as much connection as possible with you and Get Satisfaction and making your site an unofficial section of Get Satisfaction. I also encourage you to state that with a Company Message and point people to the place online where you do want to speak with customers. I'll get back to you offline when as soon as I can. -
Inappropriate? For the benefit of those that follow, I've spoken to Eric at length and can I say for the record I've never experienced a quicker or more helpful response! Testament to the great work you guys do.
Our issue was entirely related to a situation that I'm sure arises very infrequently - where the growth of our business necessitated our bringing all our support in-house. While our first reaction was we needed to close the Get Satisfaction forum - as the duplication of effort required in managing 2 distinct support forums was very inefficient - there are of course a lot of benefits that aren't immediately apparent in users having an independant place to voice their thoughts be they positive or negative.
Once we established a way to clearly notify visitors that the Get Satisfaction forum exists as an unofficial user forum and is seperate to our official support destination we were able to feel much more comfortable that users wouldn't be confused and issues could be dealt with expediantly.
I hasten to add it this wasn't clear if this opt out scheme is standard but if so my sincerest apologies Eric. We will continue to visit as time allows and help those (hopefully) few users who for whatever reason can't find us.
Thanks and All the best!
I’m satisfied!
-
Wayne, thanks so much for coming back and "closing the loop" on this. I'm glad to hear Eric was able to help you and that it's all worked out. Best of luck to you & your company! :) -
Inappropriate?Eric, could you please help me renaming http://getsatisfaction.com/yojana to http://getsatisfaction.com/yojaya . I didn't find a way to do it myself. We did a kind of rebranding because of name related issues.
I’m thankful
-
Changed. -
Thank you a lot! -
Inappropriate?I would like to remove our account. There are only test posts. It's not a tool we will use because of the difficult or cost to delete posts. The account is /iqengines. Thanks.
-
Sure thing. I've done this for you. -
Inappropriate?Please remove our company, too.
-
What company? Can you give us the Get Satisfaction URL for it? I don't see any companies attached to this user account. -
Our company seems to have been removed, please confirm this was done in response to my request here. Thank you! -
What was your company name? I can't confirm this for you without knowing what company you're referring to. I don't see any companies attached to your user account. -
Inappropriate?Eric, I need you to delete our company too for the same reasons. It is only a test site with a couple of test posts. We can't use this site without being able to delete posts and we can't pay for the upgrades to do it. Maybe we'll be back in a year. Please delete us Kidelity. Thanks
-
I've removed this for you. -
Inappropriate? Please remove my company. We can't use this site without being able to delete posts and we can't pay for the upgrades to do it. I only have one test post for my company thanks
-
Done. -
Inappropriate?Reading those comments about made me realize that I too can not use GetSatisfaction as a solution for supporting our users
1. Monthly fee is high as a start for the basic features of deleting posts.
2. No multilingual support - will not solve all my problems - it it was multilingual I would probably try to use it and then pay.
3. Integration to our existing authentication method is a must - again its not worth either the money or the effort without multilingual support.
I’m highly disapointed
-
Good feedback, Roy. Thank you. I'll remove your company. -
I highly agree with all three points!
No multilingual support for such an expensive tool is a shame.
And integration to an existing authentication method should definitely be included in a cheaper plan.
Very nice tool, but these things make me doubt if I should pay for it. -
Inappropriate?Eric - I DID NOT ASK TO REMOVE MY COMPANY
I JUST SAID I CAN NOT USE IT TO SOLVE MY PROBLEMS!!!!!!
if some users happen to find it useful i don't care I have even tried to help them start doing it. - you have to fix these issues - have a remove my company button and let people use it with confidence - i don't understand why did you think you should delete my company, several people at the top where told that other users comments are not so easily deleted - you should have verified before.
I’m very angry
-
Inappropriate? All in all I think you have a great thing going here - I don't see any other site that comes even close - you still have a long way to go to be able to solve my problems, spanning on lots of countries using several different affiliates, and we're still a start up.
I’m going to rebuild save an alien on Get Satisfaction
-
Inappropriate?I'm very sorry, Roy. Please accept my apologies. It sounded like you had three reasons why you wanted your company removed, and this is the topic where many people have come to request us to remove their company. I'd love it if this process could be done by the companies themselves if there hasn't already been any participation in a company section. I'm truly sorry that I've disappointed you. I'll do whatever I can to help fix the problem, either here, or via eric [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com.
I can add you back if you like. I'll do all the leg work and get you set up again. I hope I can somehow fix this problem for you. I'll do my best.
I’m trying
-
no worries - i've remade the page as much as i could - I am still waiting for approval as an employee so if you can speed that up it will be great -

I removed this for you. -
Done! -
Inappropriate?Hi, can you remove my company NewsFeed (http://getsatisfaction.com/newsfeed) I'm trading under another name and have signed up a company in that name (as you can't change the URL).
-
Removed. -
I appreciate it, thank you. -
Inappropriate?I would also love for you to remove my company page, http://getsatisfaction.com/windowswit..., as I have done what Oliver did, which is having a new name and signed up with the new name as you can't change it.
Thanks :)
I’m happy
-
Sure, I can do that. Note that I can help change your company name if that is preferable. Whatever you need, let me know. -
Well, I have already signed up with the new name, so could you remove Windows With Jozz? Thanks Eric. -
Sure thing. Removed. -
Inappropriate?I would like http://getsatisfaction.com/revyver/ to be removed. It's been neglected for too long as I've moved support to another location. I love the service, but it's just not for my company.
I’m sad
-
I'll check on this and get back to you. Thanks for your patience. -
Inappropriate?Hey Guys,
I'd like to remove: http://getsatisfaction.com/labgear Loved the idea but in reality it's not for us or our customers who prefer direct email contact with us. Can you please remove us from GS?
Cheers. -
I'll send you an email. Thanks for your patience. -
Inappropriate?Just thought I'd comment here. I asked this question ages ago, deleted my ago, voila. Except I got an email every time everyone asked this question in this thread. Annoying. Took me ages to figure out what email address I was using and how to unsubscribe.
Just make the "delete me account" button in GS already, listen to your users. The irony. -
Inappropriate?Hi peterc. Sorry you had a hard time unsubscribing to this topic.
You can close your user account from your account settings page. And you can manage your notifications from the same section. To stop follow a particular topic, you can just click the "stop following it" link in the original topic box.

Do you mean that you closed your user account yet were still getting email notifications of topics you were following? -
Inappropriate? We changed our company name. Would you please remove http://getsatisfaction.com/hellopositron?
We will be running our support from http://getsatisfaction.com/plus1
Thanks.
I’m indifferent
-
Inappropriate?please remove our company too. unfortunately, your service did not meet our needs.
http://www.getsatisfaction.com/mybest...
thank you! -
We've removed this for you. -
Inappropriate?I think, GS is a great tool, but we decided today not to use GS until we can use a german surface.
Besides that, the integration to an existing authentication method is too expensive for us as a startup.
Please remove my company.
I would be happy to hear from you whenever you offer multilingual support.
Thank you! -
Removed. -
Inappropriate?Seems to be not removed yet. It's still there.
-
Might be a caching issue. I'm not seeing it. Should be removed. -
Inappropriate? We took a look at GetSatisfaction and have decided to take a simpler approach to gathering feedback. We may re-evaluate things in the future, but I don't see a way to hide my company's page until then. So please remove it.
http://getsatisfaction.com/dolbyaxon
Thanks!
I’m indifferent
-
I've removed this for you. -
I've put this in the queue to be removed later tonight. -
Jason: Unfortunately, this has not been done yet, but I've asked our dev team to try and speed this up. -
Inappropriate? Please remove http://getsatisfaction.com/mainrhode , I registered it under another name.
I’m hopeful
-
Inappropriate?Hi Kate. Happy to remove that for you since there's no user generated content. It should be removed within 24 hours.
-
Inappropriate?gcn - Your company is marked as private, which means it won't show up in searches, and I've passed along your request to have it removed to our dev team.
-
Inappropriate?I would also like my company removed. We are no longer using your service. I really wish there was a feature to do this, and I would not have to contact someone.
-
Inappropriate?Matthew, I've emailed you directly to discuss this.
-
Inappropriate? So again I will ask since the email was not helpful. Can you please remove my company. I do not care about your policy. I no longer use this service with my company, so I would like it closed.
I’m angry
-
Inappropriate?Matthew: I'm happy to help remove as much information as possible, and I will do so. However, I cannot delete topics that other users have created. That is their content. I'll remove any product information or other info and remove your company from search.
-
Inappropriate? This "policy" is what scared me away from GS as well. If I host a regular forum on my site, I can simply remove it anytime. And, if I use any of the forum hosting solutions, I can also remove it any time. I believe this policy needs to change.
-
Inappropriate? On a related note, we are working on some changes to the system that will allow companies to turn off their communities with the push of a button. We're in the planning stages of this.
In the meantime, I can "mothball" communities by request. It is a manual process and preserves the users' content for their own reference, so it needs to be scheduled. Thanks for understanding. -
Inappropriate?Eric, Please remove our company logs and product logos. Please "moth ball" my community. I do not care about users content, just remove the affiliation between GS and us.
As of right now, I am still seeing our logos.
I’m angry
-
I see no logos or products. Please point those out to me. -
Inappropriate?Hi Eric, We are restructuring our web page and will no longer need the get satisfaction services. Thank you for the great service.
I ask that you please Remove the Mountaincycle Forum and have it mothballed. Thank You,
John
I’m skipppy
-
I'll do my best to try and get this done expediently. -
This has been done now. -
Inappropriate?http://1.static.getsatisfaction.com/u...
http://3.static.getsatisfaction.com/u...
Please remove all images uploaded by myself. -
I removed them from the company section earlier, Sometimes it just takes a little time. I think those are cached images that will be removed automatically. -
Inappropriate?Hi, Atebits would like to have it's site mothballed as well.
-
I will let the developers know. -
Thanks a bunch :) -
This has been done. -
Inappropriate?I created three companies which should have been products. I have since created them as products within the right company, but I'd like to delete the original, vestigial companies.
Can you please delete them for us?
http://getsatisfaction.com/tacksharp/
http://getsatisfaction.com/playgrounder
http://getsatisfaction.com/hivelogic
There are no customer comments or interaction.
Thanks!
I’m concerned
-
Company removals currently need to be scheduled. I will ask our developers to remove these, although I do not have a firm date for you yet.
