Support for Markdown syntax

The use of html tags to format topic text is a pain. Why not add support for Markdown? Its syntax is very clear and intuitive, and adding support for it is just a matter of calling a perl script (well, for you it might be a little harder if you don't already have a "original text" vs "rendered text" distinction in your database...).

I'm getting increasingly tired of having to hand type html tags. **something bold** is way more intuitive (and quick to type) than <b>this</b>
