Trying to add unicode characters to my profile..want to use Japanese in my tagline (among other things)
Guess unicode support needs to be added? I am sure lots of people on this earth would like to add the stuff I (we) can't read :)

hi, bigfreaky. we agree that UTF-8 support is really important -- we see multicountry localization, japanese and otherwise, as critical to our business strategy -- and we know we need to get it into our system.
unfortunately, i'm not totally sure when we're going to put it in the schedule, but we should have a much better idea early in the new year about approximately when it's going to happen, and i'll be sure to report back then.

Inappropriate?I figured it was something in the future, but I like to be a pain in the butt! I always hope right off the bat that "networking, 2.0" sites have that stuff, but I usually find out the hard way or break it :) Sounds good that it is in the plans! The sooner the more satisfied I will be!

Inappropriate?It's always good to point this stuff out to us. As with any development project we have to make trade-offs on where we spend out finite time. We made the decision a while back about our i18n priorities, but it's always great to have a voice come in and make us reconsider our decision.
