Why are buried topics showing up in the Frequently Asked Questions (new v2 design)?

I tried to submit praise about the new design this morning but received a crash when I submitted (not sure if this was just an isolated fluke or if this is a systematic problem). But anyway, I soon realized that buried topics were now showing up at the top of our company dashboard. I really appreciated when the dashboard was more of an activity stream with the most recent topics and I wish I had the option to go back to that.

Many of our customers will all experience the same bug (problem) at the same time and click the "me too!" button but there's no reason that problem should show up on the company landing page once it's been resolved.

I think I understand the idea behind the new look; I just think more thought needs to go into exactly which topics are eligible for display there... A good mix of the more common topics in all 4 categories is nice, however I don't see why buried topics should be showing up there. The same would apply for topics that have been merged into a parent or redirected to another topic.

 
indifferent I’m hoping this is quickly resolved.
