Master templates for categories, tasks and posts.
It would be a good idea to have master templates for categories, tasks, notes and posts in the Account Preferences. So when a user creates a new project, the templates are automatically applied. It would save a lot of time.
Basecamp has a somewhat similar option, but its primitive in my opinion.

Inappropriate?This is one of the things we're thinking about for Goplan 2. It is a pain having to recreate tasks that you typically do in all your projects, so we're defininitely trying to come up with a solution that helps users with this problem. Inappropriate?When we do freelance projects, there is a rather constant list of steps we take to double check that it's ready to hand over to a client. I need a template for them so that we don't miss any, or waste time typing them in over and over (which can lead to silly errors.)
I have to say that this is the first feature I missed when trying out GoPlan, having come to see if it could replace basecamp for us.
I’m sad. I like lists. :)

Inappropriate?Yes, any update? I manage multiple wedding and portrait shoots and have around 50 repetitive tasks that are the same for each project. If I could make a template for the tasks (and nest them - ala todoist.com) I'd be sold on upgrading my account from a test to manage all my shoot projects.

Inappropriate?Yeah, we have a repeatable service that contains like 5 milestones, and potentially a hundred tasks separated into many categories, and a document structure that will be the same for every project, too. It'd be totally sweet if I could set up just one exhaustive project template and deploy it every time! Right now this is how TeamWork stands out in our minds.

Inappropriate?really want to use goplan, but the lack of this feature is stalling me from migrating from a system based app. I just can't invest the time to add 20 projects each with 50 repetitive tasks. I need to be able to create the task template once, then apply it to multiple projects.

Inappropriate?This is a very important! Other is the ability of import and export the template. Example: Fred have a good template. John like the Fred template. John import the Fred template! Its Cool! Sharing the template its a other smart feature too! Please, come on! :)

Inappropriate?I like the import / export idea too. Very useful if you work in a collaborative community with others that use it but aren't part of your org.
I'd love to see this feature soon. I've spent hours recently pouring over other online solutions that offer task templates, but just don't have that simple, clean workflow that will just make me use it.
Please, let's see this killer feature for those of us who have similar projects implemented early 2010!
