We are definitely keeping an eye on this thread. So many of you rock Gowalla, and it completely floors us every day what an awesome group of people use our little service! We're starting this whole Gowalla Street Team Elite process pretty gradually, and some of the names on that list and people on this page probably woke up this morning to a welcome email. We will keep doing that, so definitely get out and Gowalla, and give it your best, your coolest places, funnest descriptions, best trip ideas, and keep on telling your friends.

I know most of the people on the list above (myself included!) have put their heart and soul into this game since the very start.

Inappropriate?I would love help out! I have a bit of an OCD problem, so correcting radii, merging duplicates, correcting classifications & locations is right up my alley. I live in Columbia, SC and telecommute for Georgia Tech so I can monitor Columbia and Atlanta locations.

Got a question for you too: Once you collected all the items, did you find that you care less about caressively checking in. -
Caressively checking in? I've never really stroked my iPhone in an affectionate manner when checking in. I get excited, sure, but not so much to physically caress the device.
Regardless, the items are ancillary to me and as such have always checked into spots with thought. There are copious amounts of catalogued lcoations in Austin alone and I believe I have only a third of them, if that.
Currently, I am all about the stamps. I am looking for unique stamps to populate my passport so that is leaving me for not checking into some spots. There's a Lowe's down the street that I am very eager to add a check-in to. -

I'd love to help out too, I've been very busy here in Toronto, ON and have encountered quite a few spots here that are mis-marked, on the wrong side of the street, or having to walk completely around huge buildings to get to the exact spot the person must have been standing, (I guess not everyone yet knows yet about expanding the radius ;)

I'll also second Heather Jeffcoat here in Columbia, SC.
If there's room for more than one spot sheriff in this town, I'd also like to nominate myself and coworker Greg Lunn. We're equally obsessed with the game and are frustrated by some of the sloppily created (far edge of parking lots and at traffic lights? Cmon!) spots and dupes that have been popping up lately from some of the new users here.

Inappropriate?I've been seeing a lot of duplicate spots, and spots with bad coordinates, and I'd be glad to be part of the Elite team to help clean up the Gowalla spots in the San Jose area.

Inappropriate?I just joined the Gowalla fray last week thanks to friends' recommendations (mostly influenced by user xamount (Beau Teague) - highly recommended as an STE for Atlanta), and have since become an instant evangelist. I live in a suburb of Atlanta, GA (Tucker, USA!), and have been constantly creating spots around my area as I visit POIs. The thing is, I'm finding that a lot of already-created spots in these parts are either mislabeled, duplicates, and/or off by many hundreds of meters. I would love to help clean up my area, as well as perform general housekeeping for greater Atlanta.

I do this for another mobile network as a "superuser," and really enjoy cleaning up and merging the dupes. Just throwing it out there. ;)

Inappropriate?I'm up for the job. I've come across a lot of spots that need love and would be happy to spend my time tweaking them. I don't always report every little thing here, because I see so many spots that I'd be flooding this place with them.
I've created hundreds of spots myself, and am in the process of going back and adding descriptions to each and every one. I'm obviously a heavy user, being only three items away from completing my collection and checking in at over 700 spots.
I am familiar with Gowalla Tools and use them religiously. I also follow all Gowalla updates across Twitter and other platforms. Social media is kind of what I do...
Anyway, if you think I'd be a good addition to the team, please hook me up! You don't even have to send me a shirt, because you already did. Thanks for that, BTW!

Art runs his life around Gowalla-ing (that what we call it, when your doing it!). If things need to be fixed or the word needs to get out he is your man!!!! BTW...you can send me his t-shirt!! ;-)
