Very long story, but, to shorten, my husband bought $330 worth of what we thought was exterior paint to paint our house himself (you know, "you can do it, we can help" slogan). The paint was labeled exterior on top but we found out after painting the house that it was interior paint (tiny writing on side). Had to have house repainted and used Home Depot's contractor who did an amazing job. We had to cough up $2,200 which I thought was extremely unfair due to the redo of the job being all Home Depot's fault. They refunded our original paint purchase, paid for the new paint and gave us a $500 gift card. I still feel that they should have paid for the entire repaint as my husband was not able to get back the 40 hours he spent painting himself.

I had good success when I had Home Depot re-gutter my house. So I gave them a chance to replace two casement windows. When we first ordered the windows, the salesman quoted us the wrong price. He came back 30 minutes later and tore up our contract and handed us a new contract for $900 more. OK, mistakes happen. So we've waited weeks for the new casement windows to come in. They came to the house today. One window was was too large. And the other window was hinged in the wrong place. Now I get to see if they can correct the problem in a timely fashion. So far, my happiness quotient is dwindling.

I just wanted to state that I will never be shopping at Home Depot again. My husband and I ordered floors to be installed and not only did we pay for said flooring, when we went to pick it up, they actually didn't have the flooring we paid for anywhere in the state of Colorado. They let us pick out a different one, but sent installers only to tell us that we had to wait three additional days for it to settle in our house. Then, they refused to give us a discount or even apologize. One of the managers, happy to give his name, at the Glendale, CO Home Depot is a waste of space in that store; he was rude, completely incompetent, arrogant and blamed me for not knowing Pergo had to acclimate for a certain amount of time. Just wanted to throw that out there that if you're looking for professionals to install flooring, go to Lowes or a 'mom and pop' shop if you want it done right, on time and with the materials you originally ordered and paid for.

This just in: About 64,000 Holiday Figurines have been recalled because surface paint on the holiday figurines contains lead. The product is imported by The Home Depot, of Atlanta, Ga., and is manufactured in China by Creative Design, of Hong Kong.

The recalled holiday figurines are painted plastic snowmen and bears. The SKU number is printed on the bottom of the product.

How to fix: Consumers should immediately stop using the holiday figurines and return them to any Home Depot store for a full refund.
