Wall Street Journal says, "‘Pundit Watch’ May Need Its Own Watchdog"
From today's Wall Street Journal -- ‘Pundit Watch’ May Need Its Own Watchdog
With plenty of commentary from Nigel!
"Pundits are prized for making bold predictions, but they’re usually not held accountable for their forecasting accuracy. A news-prediction Web site is trying to change that with a pundit-tracking game, pitting the likes of MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews against technology blog TechCrunch and entertainment blogger Perez Hilton. While the idea is a good one, the execution is flawed."

Inappropriate?Very interesting.
This pundit watch thing has enlightened me as to how reluctant they are to state a firm prediction.
I hope more pundits or public figure whose opinion is respected in media embrace the opportunity to maintain an account as Hollywood blogger Nikki Finke has.
Although the article has valid points regarding their comments being interpreted into direct predictions Nigel's defense is legitimate.
In my opinion the solution is for pundits to manage their own accounts on www.hubdub.com.
I would very much welcome their involvement.
I’m rolling out red carpet.

Inappropriate?Pundit Watch has accomplished some of what it set out to do. That was to try and get the attention of the media, so it could then drive traffic to the site. Whether that media attention was good or bad, it will still drive people to the website.
