Versamail stopped checking IMAP email
Last week, my Treo 680's Versamail application began failing to connect with my IMAP server. I have checked my IMAP email with several other applications and verified the settings in Versamail. Versamail continues to sync with my work's Exchange server just fine, but I can't seem to get my personal IMAP account to connect. The Treo always times out and gives the following error:
"Unable to connect to mail.skott.us Please verify your server name entry."
I also tried to set up an account using IMAP SSL and the SSL settings from my email host but I got the same issue.

Inappropriate?I would recommend going to one of your carrier's local retail store and have them try to fix this issue.

I disagree. I have had several questions and concerns with several different "smart phones" and almost never had an employee of the local carrier provide any assistance of value. You are much better of calling the carrier and having them elevate your ticket to the smart phone people. -
Inappropriate?So I did a ton of testing and battling with customer service reps and finally came to the conclusion that AT&T Wireless had blacklisted my personal domain. AT&T would not admit that the have a blacklist, but the service reps were unable to load anything from my domain on their computers and I finally noticed that I couldn't hit my domain in my Treo's browser. After finding a Palm OS program that would run a traceroute, as well as loading my domain through a proxy server, I was sure this was the issue. Two weeks later, after returning from an overseas vacation, I hit my email button hoping it had resolved itself, and to my delight over 2000 emails began downloading.
