"Claim my comments" not working
I can't seem to figure out how to claim my comments on my blog. I was able to claim my comments on another blog (from which I signed up for Intense Debate) but I can't seem to claim the comments I've made on my own blog prior to installing the Intense Debate plugin. What do I need to do? The name, email address, and URL associated with my Intense Debate account are the same used in my blog's comments prior to installing Intense Debate, so I'm not sure what else needs to match to get this to work.

Inappropriate?I have also came up with the same problem. I don't know if something I've done on my installation or what. It is just not working for my blog anymore.

Inappropriate? Can someone from ID speak to this?
I installed ID on a blog I've had for a while. In the time I've had the blog I've made comments in response to my visitors' comments. Is there a way for me to "claim" the comments I've made in the past, before I had ID? I'd like for them to all visually appear to be from the admin of the site.
Thanks.

just a little 'me too'. and a sigh for "dean reported this problem 1 year ago". -
Inappropriate?I've been trying to find the answer to this for a while too, but it appears that at this moment it cannot be done, but I don't understand why not. I really think this should be a required piece of the puzzle.
If I made comments before I installed Intense Debate, I should be able to claim my whole history of comments on a website that I have owned and commented on for years.

Inappropriate? This is a REAL PROBLEM for my whole-hearted support of ID. I am having another issue and between the two, I am about ready to give up.
I’m getting upset

Inappropriate?I hate to do this, but after months of trying to figure out this issue, I found that the answer was quite simple, I switched to Disqus which has this ability. I changed over four websites to Disqus, and am much happier about it. Not to mention its ability to login using openid and facebook to leave comments.
This is not an ad for Disqus, in fact I would rather not have gone through the change away from ID, but it seems like they didn't have a plan to address something so easy, and were unable to see the demand for this feature from the community.
I’m thankful

I agree, Dustin. I have thought of switching to Disqus just because this feature is so important to me.
However, ID does have OpenID and Facebook login support. Login to ID's website. The Facebook config options are under Settings. The OpenID support is under Customize. Check out my blog for an example in action. http://jaledwith.com/ -
Inappropriate? Thanks, Andrew, I stand corrected. But the switch was well worth it for the claim comments alone. But as I said, I would have preferred to stay with ID, but they just didn't seem to think my past comments were important enough to allow me to claim them.
