Log-in timeout requires re-logging in, halts comment posting
I am not sure of the intended behavior of the Wordpress/Intensedebate logins sync-ing, so please correct me if this is not a problem.
I'm using Google Chrome as my browser. Say I log in in the morning to my Wordpress backend, and that also logs me into Intensedebate, because I have my profiles sync'ed. All is well, while I'm on for the first hour or so, and I walk away or go browse elsewhere (without closing my browser).
I come back in a hour or so, and I'm still logged into the Wordpress backend, but now if I click on the "Comments" button in the WP-admin page, I have to have to re-log into Intensedebate.
A similar problem happens for example if I left a page from the front end of my site intending to comment. I might be happily typing away, walk off, and then come back later to finish, only to find that pressing the submit button will not do anything. The spinning circle thing will come up, but it will not finish and will sometimes give me a timeout error. The only way to fix this is to refresh the page.
It is as if my login has timed out, and I have to re-log in after a certain amount of time. And with Intensedebate, there is no "remember me" functionality when logging in as far as I can see. Can the login timeout be adjusted, or can we get a "remember me" function for the login cookie? I'm getting many users who are getting frustrated at losing their comments, or not understanding why they have to keep logging in.
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hi Hans,
This doesn't sound like intended behavior, and it's not my experience using Firefox or Safari, so perhaps it is a Chrome-specific issue.
I don't have immediate access to a PC running Chrome, but is there an option relating to accepting "third party cookies" or accepting cookies only from sites you visit? We've had some problems in the past with some browsers (e.g. Safari) defaulting to not allowing cookies from "third parties", which means we can't set your IntenseDebate login cookie properly from your WordPress admin.
Please let me know if you see an option that sounds like it's related, since as I mentioned, this is not how it should work. I stay logged in for days at a time using Firefox.

Inappropriate? There is, and it is set to accept third party cookies by default already, I tried that. Unlike Safari, that's Chrome's default behavior. Any other ideas?

Inappropriate?Hmmm - I don't have any other specific answers I'm afraid. I looked around on the Google Chrome help site and it sounds like that setting (which you've confirmed is enabled) is what should be required to maintain the third party cookie.
If I find anything I'll be sure to post it here for you.
I’m sad that Chrome is acting funny.
