Saving IPs may not allowed by some countries laws
Hello,
at least in Germany, it's may not be legal to save IP adresses of visitors or commenters, since they are seen as personally identifiable information by some courts. So, strictly speaking, every German user of Intense Debate is commiting a crime when installing and using ID on their sites.
So, may I ask you to add an option allowing the shortening of IP adresses ("192.168.1.xxx" instead of "192.168.1.100"), or even disabling IP logging at all.
Regards,
Julius
