Spam getting to WordPress Blogs
I am still getting spam on my blogs that have ID installed on as a wordpress plugin. If I turn Akismet (my spam filter) off, then I get a ton of spam that I have to go and moderate on the blogs themselves. It's not being caught by ID.
Turning Akismet back on, wordpress catches the spam but it bypasses Intense Debate all together.
How is ID supposed to be handling spam, or is this how it's done and I just have to keep Akismet on? Thanks

Inappropriate? This is bothersome for me as well. I've been moderating spam after spam. Rediculous.
Does posting a comment on ID bypass the built-in WP Akismet filter? It seems that way. And if so, ID should use Akismet by default anyways. -
Inappropriate?I guess I should specify. This is more for Trackbacks. I keep getting massive amounts of Trackback spam that is obviously spam that I have to manually moderate. I'm talking like 200 in a few days. v.v
So much spam, in fact, that when I try to delete it all - I get a server error: Error 504 - Gateway Time-out. Before, it would delete most of them and I could go back to the page and delete another chunk. Now it just won't delete any because there is too much spam for the server to handle.
Shouldn't ID be filtering trackbacks and automatically marking them as spam? I really don't want to have to manually filter 300+ trackbacks every few days.

Inappropriate?I am having a problem with both comment spam and trackbacks that had been getting caught by Akisment until I installed Intense debate. Now, I spend as much time deleting spam as I used to writing new posts. I have set my options to continue using Akismet.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem . I checked both options to use Akismet filters and the ID filters for spam and therefor disabled Akismet on my blog. But now I get lots of spam

Inappropriate?Same here. I'm not sure I understand what the expected behavior is supposed to be either.
If I check all the spam settings, then I expect those comments to go into a spam folder on ID and NOT get passed to my Wordpress DB.
What's happening is I am getting hundreds of spam comments marked as spam put into my WP DB, but with no easy way to delete them.
