my metawish list
Here's a list of features I'd like to see and things I've noticed.
In order of occurrence rather than priority.
There's more... but I don't want to be piling things on like crazy. I am really enjoying isowish, and hope it takes off in a big way. Which reminds me... I suspect some of the features will become more awkward as the list and the number of people grows. Have you got a plan for keeping it fast and freindly?

- Ability to edit comments.
- Ability to edit comments for a limited time. (as with getsatisfaction.com)
- Recent Comments list on the side.
- Comment aggregation. It's the feedback that makes the site, so getting the comments out there is vital.
- Ability to add wishes as favourites.
- More wishes per page in the listings. Double or more.
- The old isowish data comes up in search results. Can you purge the database?
- Can anything be done about slow loading and update times?
- The strange facebook effect on using the button. (If you haven't seen this, try the button and watch your browser window shrink horizontally.)

Inappropriate?I've noticed many of these. to add something I already put on the wish site as a wish, pre-this forum, please send the CONTENTS of comments out when you email me to say a comment exists. If I end up with (as I did the last few days) 15 emails from isowish in my inbox in the morning then I end up just deleting the lot and looking at the site and possibly missing some comments which is fairly sucky.

I've had exactly the same problem as you Ricky - we're thinking about adding a daily digest but that's a bit tricky to do quickly. And RSS of comments is a must.
Thanks for bearing with us - it's all a bit beta, but I'll make as many of these happen as quickly as possible :-)

A few more updates on the metawishlist:
We now have Favorites, and if you go to your-username/favorites you can see a list.
Recent comments is now on the side, as is an aggregated feed.
Old Isowish data should disappear eventually but we'll probably add a better search engine.
Slow loading times will be improved soonish too!

Inappropriate?We now have favourites and longer list pages.
Also - you can turn the fancy editor on and off by editing your profile, and it's off by default for iphone users.
I've added Twitter, Blog and Tipjoy account details to user pages too after a few requests.
I've disabled facebook until I can actually get it working :/
Editing comments is feeling tricky but I'm sure we will make it happen soon!
