How do I update an item AFTER sending it to Sandy?
I'm puzzled. After sending Sandy an item, I realized that I forgot to add the phone number. I thought this would be easy to do. I logged on to Sandy, found the item, and clicked on "edit." However, this brings up a brief dialogue box that provides the name and other fields. The part I need to edit was further down in the context. I clicked on "more context" and could see the area I wanted to edit, but could find no way to do so.

Inappropriate?IWS will recognize each item you send her as only one type of "thing:" either a meeting, a todo, a contact, etc. So when you initially sent the item, I am guessing that Sandy parsed it as a meeting or a todo, rather than as a contact. Unlike Stikkit, where contacts and todos can be on the same item, Sandy has one or the other. I think your only solution is to add the phone number in the "Name" field and send a separate item with contact information.

Inappropriate? When sandy replies to the new item she'll give it a number (#1, #2, etc). You can then update the item by simply responding to that email with "update #1 <whatever>".. for example
To change time:
update #1 tomorrow 2:00pm
To change tags:
update #1 -@urgent @backburner
To correct a misspelled name or add a number:
update #1 John Frauenhauer 5552341</whatever> -
Inappropriate? The other replies here are correct, but perhaps they're missing the point. If I understand you correctly, you're looking to add information to the "context" area of the thing Sandy remembered.
You can edit the "Name" of the thing easily enough. On the website, click on the item and then select "edit". To update an item by email, read Yeraze's post above.
Not being able to edit the context is a problem for me too. I made a suggestion a while ago that Sandy should add an editable text area to every item. The area would originally filled with a copy of the "context", but you can edit it however you wish later on.
Look at this idea. http://getsatisfaction.com/iwantsandy...
