My Google Calendar fails private url with "We could not parse the calendar at the url requested."
I tried with the private url first given to me, Google Calendar failed that.
I then tried with;
* SunBird calendar application and
* Evolution for linux
they worked fine.
Back at iwantsandy i turned off private url, saved, then turned back on private url, saved, to acquire a brand new private url.
It still fails.
Can you please assist me with this problem? I am keen for this functionality in Google Calendar and I think I am the only one in here with this problem.

Inappropriate?Hi Samkat,
I am sorry you're frustrated. (And if it helps, you're not alone in finding Google's iCalendar subscription a less-than-smooth process.) Some basic debugging details included in such messages could go a long way to helping solve these issues, but barring that we can work this out with a little elbow-grease and some examples from folks like yourself.
Could you do me a favor and fire off a copy of the iCalendar file you have managed to get working in Sunbird and Evolution but which doesn't seem to be agree with Google Calendar to help@iwantsandy.com (please add to the subject "Attn: Rael") and I can do some analysis on just where it might be sticking in Gcal's craw.

Inappropriate?Hello Rael,
I've sent the file through a reply email as asked.
Happy debugging!
Sam

Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem getting a "cannot parse" error from Google Calendar. However, I can easily subscribe to my private feed URL in iCal.

Inappropriate?I have had the same problem for the last 2 days. Sandy was not syncing anymore in Google calendar. It does with Outlook though. I have reset the URL, input it back but I get the "We could not parse the calendar at the url requested." message.
What can I do?
Thanks !
MC
I’m Sad

Inappropriate?I've been hoping for some solution on this one, as calendar integration would be a big help. since it seems to be a lack of standardization on google's end, I'm willing to switch. can anyone recommend a good, web-based cal that's working well with Sandy?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Try 30boxes. People seem to love it.

Inappropriate?I realize this thread is old, but I also cannot get a working ical feed to import into Google calendar. All I'm finding on the net is reports of the same problem, but no solutions. Has this been solved? Are there any places one can find an example of just how Google calendar wants the data?

Inappropriate?i'm having the same problem . . . today . . . months after you guys posted . . anyone with a solution?
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I moved to 30boxes. judging by the dates above, that was a year ago and no problems since.
