I want to change my username to reflect my real name.
I'm already using my real name everywhere else, I'd like last.fm to solve the technical problems that are keeping me from changing my username.

Inappropriate?Likewise, I have been going through my accounts and even Xbox Live lets you change your Gamertag (for a price). So many sites are offering changeable profile names (Steam for example) and vanity URLs (Facebook) but not last.fm.

But obviously, no one's satisfied with that answer. If we could just have an explanation as to why the database can't be tweaked to reflect different names - well, I for one would be happy. -
Inappropriate?yeah, nice "solution". every other site ever lets you change your username. you should at least allow a mass export/import of data so we can make new accounts and not lose our stats. i hate my username but im not about to just lose almost 50k plays worth of stats. id definitely be willing to pay if it was a matter of cost. im sure others would pay, which could help pay for the development costs to make this happen... right now last.fm just seems lazy.
