Seadragon application/browser available for download/purchase?

I have been searching for MONTHS to find out if Seadragon will have a browser that we can download or buy. I would LOVE having it just to browse my pictures like the TED demo showed us. I would love to play with photo's and options to create information resources using the method of the fake newspaper add to include details far greater than a newspaper is capable. These things were amazing to me and I've seen NOTHING from it. I've seen it applied in other realms but not an actually browser or application that I can use what was shown in the demo. ANY help would be appreciated. Sorry I tagged this with photosynth cause there was no appropriate tag and they were shown in the same demo and Photosynth uses eliments of Seadragon.

Why do I get a Failed (error 80070005) on starting a Synth

I get a "Failed (error 80070005)" right after the start of image tile processing whenever I try a Synth. This has happened every time I try a Synth.
Any ideas what is going wrong?

QoS: Bandwidth cap while uploading

Currently the client seems to eat all my available bandwidth when uploading the synth, which means it's not something you can run in the background while you're surfing the web.
I'm guessing that the upload thread(s?) eat(s) all my available upload bandwidth, which slows my downloads because there's no more room on the wire for outbound TCP acknowledgements.

It would therefore be useful to have some kind of automatic quality of service built in to the client, perhaps by a combination of detecting the maximum upload speed and periodically adjusting the speed used depending on latency. (Actually, I'd be surprised if whatever library you're using to upload doesn't already have some form of QoS built-in!)

A simpler option would be to let the user adjust the maximum number of upload threads and total bandwidth consumed by them.

It would be nice if the Photosynth uploader first published the synth, then uploaded low resolution versions of the most important images, then finally added the high resolution images in order of importance.

Importance could be estimated by relative surface area and difference of viewpoint, so that the high resolution shots of similar viewpoints and zoomed in shots of finer details are uploaded last of all.

This would give a better user experience; cutting down on waiting time, knowing how 'synthy' the scene is before the upload completes, and having the ability to cancel a bad synth before it's finished. It would give a much better impression of the technology to impatient users with modern PCs and "high speed" internet connections but actually have rather low upload bandwidth.

I get this message when trying to create a synth: Photosynth service is not available, try again later. I just downloaded it for the first time, tried on IE 7.0.600.16711, firefox 3.0.1...
I am running Windows Vista.
I can view other people's synths, just not create one. It says is is checking for updates and then I get the message.
I tried uninstall and reinstall... nada

merge multiple synth results from different users

Was wondering ... wouldn't it be cool if you can merge multiple synth results from different users of the same object. Say if I had a synth of the Eiffel Tower, and someone else also had one, and allowed synthing of the point cloud results.

What about "community" synths where many of us may have similar photos of the same place? This way I could add my pictures with those of others and get a pretty good rendering.

I got an error message that Photosynth ran out of disk space. I was trying to synth 700+ images, but I have 713GB free... and I'm pretty sure Photosynth isn't using it all.

So what is photosynth's disk usage and is there a way to increase it?

My students and I having problems logging onto this site. For the past two weeks, we have kept getting this samy error message:
Oops... the leaves fell off and we're temporarily unable to load that page.

Any advice what we should do? We are really looking forward with playing with this software.

I cannot start synthing photos. On My synths page I press Create a synth button. Then a window with Start a synt and pause buttons appears. These buttons are grey. Nothing happens when I press Start a synth button. I have installed installation package succesfully, booted the device and signed in. What is wrong? Thanks, for help.
