Does this work on 64-bit Windows?
Apparently the "requirements" on the site fails to mention that Photosynth doesn't work on 64-bit Windows Vista.

Inappropriate?I can get the viewer to work in 64 bit Windows Home Premium, but I can't create any synths. The creator application fails on Windows Live ID authentication even though it works just fine when loggint on the the website

Inappropriate?Yes, I guess I should have put a little more info in. What I get after clicking on "Create Synth" is "We are not cool enough to support your OS yet". I am running IE7. -
Inappropriate?I'm using Vista x64 Ultimate and the aplication seems to work. It just says they is too many sinths at the moment and to try later or "Photosynth service is not available. Please try again later".

Inappropriate?It should wrk fine on a 64bit system as long as you're running a 32 bit browser. We may have missed a combination though in our OS/browser check.

doesnt work on my vista 64bit ult with either 32bit or 64bit browser. error message says "mac is not supported"! -
Inappropriate?It's working for me on 64-bit WIndows Server 2008 (so should work on 64-bit Vista too) but after the synth was created I did have to retry the view due to the pressure that the Photosynth site is under right now.

Inappropriate?Have you ever installed IE8 Beta? It could be that a past IE8 install leaves remnants of it on the OS and the Viewer recognizes it.

Inappropriate?Finally got it to work on both 32 and x64 browers on my x64 machine. However, it would have been much easier if required fields were labeled and identified as such. As a new user to this application, it is not clear which fields were needed and what is fluff. Cockpit problem solved
