How long have you used to synth 50 photos as usual?
I know it varies with different computers and photos. For me, it takes about 30 mins.
I hope that the synther can be more flexible - to adjust the amount of features extracted since extracting less features may still get the same synth but this will save my time.

Inappropriate?The time to upload will be dependent on your max upload speed from your ISP (this can vary a LOT) and the number and file sizes of the photos. This should remain a reasonably constant level, so you should be able to check the size of all your photos and know that X MB with take a certain amount of time. Uploading is what is taking most all that 30 minutes, if I had to guess.
Unless your PC is really old, I would thingk that the synthing process for 50 photos would be pretty quick. If you resynth and use a different name, the time it takes will be mainly just for the synthing and not uploading, because the photos are already on the MS servers.
I think there are too many variables to come up with even the loosest of "usual" times.
