Planning privacy settings for Photosynth?
Saw this in Walt Mossberg's recent writeup on All Things Digital:
"Another objection is that Photosynth has no privacy settings. All your synths are open to viewing by everyone who uses the service."
Are you planning on adding better privacy settings for Photosynth, and if so, do you have a timeline? Can you tell us more about your plans for privacy?
Thanks!

Inappropriate? We definitely plan on allowing people to mark synths as private and to share them with a select groupof friends, but we don't have a specific timeline for those features yet.
The company and 3 other people say

This is a superb, sophisticated facility. However, until we can mark synths as private, it remains a toy. Could you, as a matter of urgency, set a timeline for this feature please? -
Inappropriate?I am so far extremely impressed with this tool and see huge advantages in using it for my work. I unfortunately can not make any of my photographs public and would be interested in knowing if this software will ever be sold privately or will it always be live streamed over the internet. than kyou

Inappropriate? The privacy wouldn't be used to make synthed home pronography for swingers groups I hope! virtual dogging
I’m joking!

Inappropriate?Any developments on this in the past 7 months? It would be great for my (rather large unnamed architectural) firm to not only use this inhouse but with clients as well. Obviously some of this information is sensitive and can not be available to the world at large.
Thank you, David.
I’m dissapointed

Inappropriate?Hi David.
We're actively working on the privacy issue and plan to have a version shipping this Spring.
Hope this helps.
