Inappropriate?Hi,
What kind of graphics card are you using? Do you know what version of Directx?
You can get this and the related graphics cad driver information by running the command 'dxdiag' from start->run box , click "save all information" and post the contents of that text file.
Thanks

I have the following hardware and the texture blend problem:
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
graphics: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP
Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3100+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz
Memory: 960MB RAM
looks like my S3 graphics card is spoiling the party. -
I have installed the two s/w. When I click on the Taj thumbnail to view performance I am asked to install the s/w again. Perhaps you can help me by looking into my system reports:

Thanks for the information about your hardware. Unfortunately those S3 cards and Matrox cards are fairly old (~2001 or so) and not as well tested. As ScottF mentioned on a related thread here .
Photosynth runs great on Intel 900-series graphics accelerators, and is usable on 800-series. A related discussions is

Hi all,
i am sad ...
Each time i try to look at a synth i get this error code.
What do I wrong?
Thanks for soon help -
Hi Daniela
the graphics card that's in your computer doesn't have the capabilities to run photosynth. Dan Cory's post above has the details as to which graphics cards aren't supported. -
Inappropriate? We found another group of cards that don't work:
nVidia TNT
nVidia TNT2
nVidia TNT2 M64
nVidia TNT2 Pro
nVidia Vanta
nVidia GeForce2 Go
nVidia GeForce2 Ti
nVidia GeForce2 Ultra
SIS 315
SIS 30x/630/540/730
Kyro Prophet 4500
S3 ViperII Z200
3dLabs Wildcat VP870
SIS Xabre
These video cards will cause Photosynth to crash, unfortunately.

Thanks Dan.. (The next update to the Photosynth viewer will add a check to avoid the crashing situation.) -
Inappropriate? The latest version of Photosynth now supports having fewer texture blend stages. We believe the following cards should now work, but haven't been able to test them throughly:
Matrox G400, G450, G550
Via/S3 Unichrome
