Using the log (photosynth)
Hi again; I'm now addicted to Photosynth and I have a lot of wishes / ideas; I hope you'll like them as constructive ones and not as criticisms ;-))
I was lucky enough to find there are LOGS
1) As instaling Photosynth on the PC could we choose the directory for the log-files (they are now in my local settings/temp/... maybe I missed but I don't remember any question)
2) If I generate another synth with a name I used before, the new log will overwrite the old one, by using the same name; a version number or even better a filename including date and time would be great
In the log, I can read how many synths, and then the pictures in each synth
3) It would be very useful to read the names of the pictures which are NOT in any synth
4) It could be interesting to know the pictures which are in two or many different synths (binding them)
That's not very important but
5) Could the first synth be called with 1 and not 0 : synth 1 (and not synth 0) and the same for the first picture 1 ant not 0
6) The corresponding names of the jpegs on your servers / computers are not very useful; (I tried to access but acces was denied ;-)))) It's rather confusing on the end-user version. It could be suppressed. But reading that ;dzi file is about 2 or 3 times biger (with points I guess and other technical things) I had the dream, once the synth is done, to replace only the jpeg part in a .dzi after cleaning the picture. OK that's just a dream!
I hope you can understand my french, and that you can do something about what I tried to explain, even it's not of the first importance.

Inappropriate?Hi; I'm sure you will carry my suggestions from your mind to the program ;-)))
By the way: when will a next version of Fotosynth be ready ???
(something else: il this blog / Faq 'get satisfaction' could you please write in the title of each topic / message the name of the concerned program when known; it would be more easy to read; the same thing after clicking 'help' on the photosynth homepage and reading the 5 latest messages).
thank you; bye (for now!)
I’m confident
