Randomness in reporting coordinates
I've just been playing with the new Loki java plugin, and notice that if I build a simple test page to spit out my coordinates, I receive coordinates sometimes, but most other times I get the error code '3'. Why is there an element of randomness? If it can retrieve my coordinates once when I haven't moved, why can it not do it again, seconds later? Thanks, Nick

Inappropriate?Nick,
Error 3, as shown in the documentation, means no Wi-Fi in range. This can happen in cases of light Wi-Fi coverage. There is some variability in how wireless chipsets scan so if there are only one or two APs near you they might not show up some times.
How many APs do you see when you view nearby wireless networks?

Inappropriate?Hi Ryan,
Normally I might think this could be the issue, however I was in an office right next to the AP, with no other visible AP's in range... -
Inappropriate?Nick, so it sounds like that AP goes invisible to the chip sometimes. This is normal as APs only broadcast their existence on a set interval. The system works better when you can see more than one AP to minimize the chances of this happening.
