When will Loopt work outside the US?

I'dd love for Loopt to work in Europe, i think it's the most innovating social networking app i've seen in a long time!

i knew we were many waiting for loopt outside the US i've done everything i could to have loopt on my iphone 3G in belgium (the place where i live) but no way.....what a shame...and i really wonder what the reason of not being able to have loopt could be.....WE ARE WAITING FOR IT DECISION MAKERS LET IT HAPPEN PLEASE

loopt japan would be good. but will it only be for users in japan or will all users around the world be able to see the users in japan too? it won't be region restrictive will it?

There's alternatives that work globally - have a look at Brightkite

I am using Pocket Life in Canada - it's like Loopt or Latitude, but available globally and on all carriers. Supported handsets are Nokia, Blackberry and now iPhone (although they have just started on iPhone - it's great, but I'm looking forward to the next version). With them I like the integrated web version which I use when in my office (www.pocketlife.com). Hope that helps...
