Cue editor cuts off text in middle of editor
When I am editing a lyric cue in Cue Editor and insert a line break, this is what happens:
The only way I have been able to fix this are to go to another stanza and then go back to the previous one to be able to see it. It is quite a pest.

Inappropriate?Do you have this problem every time? This is the first I've seen/heard of this issue in the three months I've been working with V4. I've tried this with my songs, SongSelect songs and default library songs and can't recreate it. Shoot over any other settings, etc, that may help us track this down.

Inappropriate?There is nothing special. Just a regular install of V4. It is now sporadic. I do not know what I did to cause it..

I just wanted to let you know that we are looking into this issue. However, we can't reproduce it yet on our end. I can tell you that I seem to remember seeing this before on mine. But, I reinstalled V4 this morning and it might have fixed it on my machine. i will keep looking in case I run across something that might help you. :-)
If you go to Help/About MediaShout what build are you on? If it's not 102, then go to Help/Check For Updates and get the program updated.

I can report I'm having the problem too intermittently. The mentioned fix of going to another stanze or cue page works. For me I see it when I'm setting up a text cue with multiple pages for the sermon. My process right now is to Get all notes in one cue and copy the text, then create new blank pages and paste the whole thing and remove all but next line. At the point I paste it I usually have to go to a different page and go back to see it looking correctly.
I haven't put b.102 on yet so I'll try that as well. -

Inappropriate?I have had this problem on both builds. The only change is in 102 it lets me type 3 lines before cutting off.
I have to resize the box to make the rest of the text show up. So are you suggesting reinstalling the program?

Inappropriate?One other note. The computer I am using media shout on uses Microsoft Word 2007 TRIAL VERSION. Perhaps that is behind it if it uses Word for text?1 Comment Add a comment

Inappropriate?It's happening to me to. Build 102, XP Media Center. Doing nothing fancy, just trying to enter a list of names...
I should point out this is a TEXT cue, and clicking the Background tab displayed the entire text. Clicking back onto the Foreground tab allowed me to type a third line of text but then the fourth line was invisible entirely. After typing each line of text clicking the Background tab displays the entire text on the cue. Looks like a bug to me. Sorry.

Inappropriate?Did any of you have trouble on the install? I had to change my DPI setting, b/c I wasn't seeing the email field in registration. Does that make sense? I wonder if others had that problem, and are having this problem. I am upgrading to the new 105 build right now and will see how it goes.

Inappropriate?Okay, the new build did not fix this. Here's what I found out though.
1. When I set my text VERTICAL ALIGNMENT to "Top" it cuts out after 3 lines every time.
temp fix: If I resize the box then I am able to see all the lines I typed after the 3rd line.
2. If I set my text VERTICAL ALIGNMENT to start in the center then it will show all my text.
Those that have this problem, test this out and see if it is true for you. It could be a vertical alignment bug.

When I changed a Lyric cue to Vertical alignment - top, then inserted a line break in the text, the text gets chopped off.

Inappropriate?I have this problem every time I hit the enter key in a song stanza or typing in a text cue. I just updating to 112.

Inappropriate?I see the same problem in 112.1. Also, possibly related, when I bring up the lyric cue editor it only shows the top few lines. Clicking on the background tab shows the entire page, but going back to foreground only the first few lines again. When I click on the cue tab, the whole page is displayed, and then going back to foreground the whole page STAYS displayed. -

It looks like this issue was connected to "line spacing" property in paragraph formatting. In 114 build it looks like it works for almost all "line spacing" options except "At least".

What font are you using? We're aware some fonts still have the issue, but others (now!) don't.

I am using Gil Sans MT at 40 top aligned, left aligned and the text cuts off.

Inappropriate?I use Arial, fully centered. After a quick check, it looks like the problem has been fixed!

Inappropriate?I use Arial Black, fully centered. Anywhere from 28 to 34 point. It still cuts off text with version 117 for me.

Inappropriate?I have noticed certain fonts cause this issue. Papyrus is one of them which is on vista. Please test different fonts and see if indeed this is the issue. We are aware of the issue and we are trying to get a fix for it.

Inappropriate?We are aware of the issue and it has been sent to the developers. Choosing solved was unintentional. From what I can see this happens more on vista machines than on xp. I know that not all fonts do this. This can also occur with having to large of before and after spacing for your paragraph settings.

Inappropriate?For the record, I get it all the time on my XP machine. I used primarily Calibri and Arial or Arial Narrow; will have to check my paragraph spacing settings.

Inappropriate?The same thing seems to happen when importing a song from song select with multiple stanzas and using the standard template. Import the same song with one of the other templates like the one on the bottom third of the screen and it works fine though.
