Inappropriate? But they seem to work fine on my other Laptop with Vista. Not sure whether it's to do with Vista at all.

Inappropriate? What is your set up Ken? I just tested a simple one with some graphics and a loop control and it looped back fine.
-
Inappropriate?Interesting. It works properly on 1 Vista laptop and 1 XP laptop, but fails on one XP laptop.
If you manually fire the cue with the mouse, the command is totally ignored. If you press the spacebar from a previous cue, it is also ignored. It doesn't step over the script control cue but does nothing.
Update: Script control cue was at the bottom of the script. I shifted it up several cues, and then it fired correctly. Shifting it down to the second to last cue again stopped it from working.
I'll need to play around with that a bit more. I'm on my way out now so can't confirm what it is really, but position may have something to do with it.

Inappropriate?I have further worked on checking this.
3rd from bottom = section cue with 3 images in it.
2nd from bottom = black
Bottom cue = black
If I have the script control cue as one of the bottom three cues, (ie. below the section cue) it will not fire. I can move up above the 3rd from bottom section cue, and it will fire. This has been totally reproducable 10 times in a row.
Next, after testing the the 10 times to totally prove, I moved it into the section cue, and it worked perfect.
Now, no matter where I move the script control cue it work perfect.
NEXT, if I close the script and reopen it, exactly the same happens. It can be reproduced exactly as many times as I like.
So to recap, if I shift the script control cue anywhere above the 3rd to last cue it will fire, but when I move it back as one of the bottom three it will not work. It is only once I've inserted it anywhere into the section cue, then from then on, it will fire anywhere in the script including the bottom of the script. That is until I close MS and open the script again and exactly the same thing can be reproduced.
That's been a tricky one to nail down. Hope you can reproduce it.
If you can't set it up like I have and get it to fail, let me know, and I'll email the script, with or without the media files.

Inappropriate?Ken,
Go ahead and email me just the script to chris(at)mediashout(dot)com. That will make it much easier for me to look into it.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?I've had the same thing happen in build 102 (although it was happening before that). I have not tried everything Ken P has done but I have a couple of script controls that should fire an image cue at the bottom of the script. So far I've not been able to get them to do anything.
Windows XP Media Center Edition, MS 4 build 102. -
Inappropriate?I've emailed you the packed script. Still doing the same this morning after closing MS and reopening.
Regards Ken -
Inappropriate?I am also having problems with script controls. I am using Vista. I will watch here for possible solutions. I was having the problems with both 101 and 102.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Chris, Did you get my email with the problem script (and assoc. media), and did it do the same for you?
-
Inappropriate? Is anyone still having this issue? I'd love to mark it solved, as it should be, but wanted to check in since b107 was posted.
-
Inappropriate? It seems like they're iffy at best. The last time I tried it didn't work but that's been a couple of weeks ago. I'm on b107. I'll try it a bit later this afternoon and see if I can tell you one way or the other.
-
Inappropriate?I'm having trouble getting any script controls to fire in 114.3, regardless of where they are located in the script.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Just as a clarification - this includes control cues in the script, as well as controls embedded in other cues - NOTHING works.
