Stage Display Improvements
Will a future build have the capabilities to send KIM messages ONLY to the stage display and not the main display? We at ECC were hoping that MS4 would have this capability. We would like to put a live timer and/or clock on the stage display. Our pastor has been asking for this ability for a while.

Inappropriate? Our pastor mentioned this as well.

Inappropriate?A must have option....

Inappropriate? We would also like to have video and imported slide shows show up like normal on the stage display. I was told they did by the sales rep but they don't. Now our choir and pastors have to turn around to see any video clips or anything that is not a lyric.

I would like to see all the improvements listed above. We import "guest" presentations and special features/slides from powerpoint brought in on USB flash right before the service. As a workaround we use two video switch boxes. The first one we had previously installed to switch the projectors between computer, stand alone DVD, VHS, and Aux (laptop, etc.), The second we just put in with MS-4. It switches the back projector from computer.(for stage display) back to the from switch box to mirror what is on the front. So ... when we are running an imported slideshow or showing video we can just press the switch to change the projector input. We are looking at a a 6x4 matrix switch and a second computer to run multiple presentations on multiple screens (2 front projectors). But, it would be nice to be able to have screen control in MS-4 instead of having to remember to switch screens back and forth. -
Inappropriate?Possibly when playing a video, (not one in the background, but an actual video) have the stage display show the countdown time left in it so people on stage know when the video will be done...
Also, possibly add a timer or clock feature for the stage, pastor asks for this a lot when he is preaching or we have special guest talking...
Just a few suggestions!

Inappropriate?I know it's a little crazy to ask:
But how many folks would love to have the Stage Display feature added to 3.5 while V4 matures?
I’m hopeful.

Inappropriate?I really hate to add this idea since there are a ton of ideas already, and MS has a ton of fixes they need to get done.
That said... Here goes anyway:
The ideas for a clock or countdown timer on the Stage Display are great. But while we are dealing with time based displays... Could we have a "visual click track". One that we could set in beats per minute? One that could be adjusted from sub-cue to sub-cue ("increase to 96 BPM over 8 beats"). A visual click track would be a great help to our praise team.
OK, I also realize that this brings a whole new possibility to the Time Based cues ("advance this cue after 6 beats"). But that also gives us an easy way to adjust the speed of a presentation. Think of it this way: Currently we specify time in seconds, or 60 BPM. If we rethink that as specifying time in "beats" and have the capability to specify the BPM as mentioned above, then speeding up or slowing down a whole section becomes easy.
OK, I'll stop there. I won't mention anything about synchronizing the beat clock to something else (like "start the beat clock 1.2 seconds after this video starts"). Or, maybe I will...
'Yall have fun!!

I’m sure having fun with the idea!
