How do I set up a feed?
Ok, I am lost. How do I set up a twitter feed, or any other feed? I see options for creating my own surveys, but cannot find the option to link up with my existing accounts/feeds...

Inappropriate?Found it. Having to first play with a survey was confusing to me...
-
Inappropriate? We are working on some quick video tutorials for the site to get folks up and running smoothly.
What type of flow would make the most sense to you? Starting on the site with a single empty survey to place datafeeds within?
I’m glad it works

Inappropriate? Not necessarily, just having some instruction on how the workslow is already arranged will help. :) Thx!
I’m starting to get it.

Inappropriate?agreed. i'm lost. so I have to set up a survey first? why? what does the survey even do? i want to input my online stuuuuuffffff..
I’m bewildered

Surveys are the way that we group like questions (stuff being tracked) together. Think of it like a folder. In the case of automated feeds, you put a bunch of questions into a survey that we'll call "datafeeds", set up any parameters the feed needs to run (username on a 3rd party site, etc) and it just starts to merrily chug along.
Without setting up at least one survey, you wouldn't have anywhere to put your questions. -
Inappropriate?I was completely bewildered by this too. I get what they are trying to do here, but it's confusing nevertheless. How about setting up the surveys after folks set up their feeds?
-
This obviously still needs work, and we're on it, but you really do need to assign a question/feed to a survey first. Without that there is no way of letting you set permissions, preferences, etc.
In the short term, would being supplied with an empty survey to use as a 'whiteboard' of sorts, to play around on, make more sense than the current flow? -
Inappropriate?James, I think both a good tutorial, healthy explanation of the uses and then a whiteboard playground would be great to help us all get going with much better understanding
