Hanging On Strtup
I am on a Dell 530s. When I boot up, I get into the Explorer shell but after that everything stops. I can move my mouse cursor and click around but I can not open anything or do anything. I can get into safe mode but I don't know what needs to be done there. I have already tried restore and I have re-booted about three times. HELP!
I’m about to shoot my PC!

Inappropriate?Once you get booted into safe mode, there are a couple of things you can try. Try running a virus scan and and spyware scan to eliminate any of the bigger problems. You can also run the Sysinternals Autoruns tool to tweak which programs get loaded on startup to see if you can eliminate the one that's causing the error (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sy...). Lastly, you can enter System Restore mode and choose "Last Known Good Configuration" to see if that takes you back to where your system was working.
