Inappropriate?Hi
Are you running Mac OS 10.4.8+?
Silverlight v2 won't install on PowerPCs.
The Silverlight Deployment Guide (http://download.microsoft.com/downloa...)
has a section called "Silverlight installation and uninstallation" but I'm not sure if it helps for a Mac.
This blog talks about running a DMG:
http://blogs.msdn.com/synergist/archi...
And then I found this step-by-step:
How to Install Microsoft Silverlight on a Macintosh
http://filmgo.net/HelpCenter/Silverli...
Hope that helps.
Cheers

I have 10.4.11. I can look at the contents of the pkg but when I try to open it nothing happens. -
Inappropriate?Let's start with the basics. :)
1. What kind of Mac are you installing this on? That is, is it a PowerPC Mac or an Intel Mac? You can tell this by opening up the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac". The resulting window tells you what processor you have.
2. Where are you downloading Silverlight from? The best place to do so is here:
http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/...
3. After you have fully downloaded the DMG and double-clicked on it, what happens? Does the Installer icon ever show up in your dock? -
Same problem here. I run a G4, a power pc, Power pc's can't support silverlight 2. So where a company, say for instance ITV, decides to use S2 I cannot access their output. Here's the funny thing though If I'm using my browser (safari) to watch ITV4 live coverage of the tour de france, the browser automatically opens windows media player and the programme is crystal clear. Strange. -
Inappropriate?Intel Mac. I should have everything necessary to have this work, but it doesn't. It downloads then never goes to the Installer. And I've been downloading it straight from Microsoft.

After you have downloaded it, do you see the Installer in your Finder (most likely in the Downloads folder, but possibly on your desktop)?
If you find the download in your Finder and double-click on it, what happens? -
Inappropriate? The installer never shows up. I download, double click and then nothing happens.

Inappropriate?Have you tried rebooting your Mac?
