If you use this product, we'll add it to your dashboard. If you work for the company that makes this product, we'll connect you with other employees. Got it, thanks!
It would be cool if Ubiquity was able to get data from Google Reader. Like typing "news" or "Greader" and then get X headlines in the command line. Then you don't have to go the the website to read the lastest news.
Move Networks Plugin is causes browser crashes left and right both with firefox and with IE, is there any patch or way to fix this problem since every network is now using this plugin for their video content? I have tried uninstall, reinstall, safe modes, and updated java.
It would be great to see a website like addons.mozilla.org for Ubiquity commands. Or maybe addons.mozilla.org can just add a section exclusively for Ubiquity commands.
As it stands now, the method of getting new commands is pretty non-user friendly, and pretty hard to find the commands you want.
If there was a "marketplace" for Ubiquity commands, it would be much better for everyone:
developers can upload screenshots, add descriptions, etc. & users can search for the commands, veiw them in action before subscribing, etc.
Perhaps the "herd" can evolve into this, but at the moment, the herd is just not very organized or user-friendly.
I ended up on getsatisfaction.com by seeking support for Twitter and thought that this would be a great program for Mozilla to adopt and use but not surprising to me at all is the fact that Mozilla is already on top of it.
I was surprised to see that there are official Mozilla reps and employees here which I find to be very cool that ya'll (yes ya'll) are taking the time to hang out and help people directly.
I have a few questions that anyone is welcomed to answer.
Is this a program that you'd like to see more end users of Mozilla's products use as a help and support solution or is it just a cool side gig? I guess what I'd really like to know is would you like to see this service used as a replacement for current (and official) help and support solutions or in addition to them and why?
It wouldn't be too hard to get the word out that there's a new and/or additional help and support service for Mozilla's products.
I'd like to help out as much as I can but I'm obviously not an official Mozilla rep or employee. Would it be ok to use the "Add yourself as an employee of Mozilla" form and enter in that I'm a volunteer? If so, does that info need to be verified by one of you? If so, who do I send the bribe assets to?
(insert bribe requests here---->______)
Thanks
Ken
Does anyone know if it's safe to subscribe to the Herd feed? The warning page is harsh. I'd really like to add some scripts, but I'd like to hear about some other people's experiences before I hit 'subscribe.' Thanks.
It says its not compatible with Firefox 3 and its shaded out. but when I click on uninstall it doesn't uninstall it. Now I don't have any sound when I use Firefox 3. All I get is a low humming sound. When I use IE8 I get sound as with the other 3 browsers I have. I uninstalled Firefox 3 and reinstalled it but that add on was still there. So I uninstalled it again and went into all programs and deleted the Mozilla and Firefox folders and reinstalled Firefox 3, and that add on is still there. How do I get rid of this RealPlayer add on?
I installed colt 2.4.1. I can't figure out how to use it. What I want is...A easly way to add hyperlinks to blogs. Such as a button to paste the hyper link code and I then copy and paste the link into it. Is colt add on what I want or something else?
as non english I would like to modify some commands the way a german google page is called, or call google apps for email and so on...
btw. its an awfull concept
Installed Ubiquity 0.1.1 on PowerBook G4. No errors reported. Relaunched Firefox 3.0.1. No errors reported. Option-space brought up command entry -- but "help" command brings no result, and there was no hint/prompt as docs promised. Option-space brings up command entry again -- but ENTER key no longer has any effect, so again -- no result.
Coworker also tried on PPC -- also with complete failure. Testing on Intel-based Macs show complete success. Apparently, it's not been built properly.
I've installed weave on 5 different Firefox installations between work and home. It works great on RHEL5 at work, Ubuntu Hardy and Mac OS X (Tiger) at home. It won't work on Ubuntu Intrepid at home and Windows XP at work! Where it doesn't work, it says 'Invalid passphrase' at setup. Is there a limit on how many instances of weave I can run? All Firefox installations are up-to-date to 3.0.1. Weave 0.2.5.
It would be nice if the email command supported emailing to a contact based on an email address. It's nice that it parses the contacts list, but what if I want to send an email to a new contact? I want the option to type "email hello new friend to johnsmith@example.com" and have it work properly.
I list all my contacts in Gmail by <lastname>. This presents a problem with the email command. The email command apparently only searches at the beginning of the text, with no option for a wildcard search anywhere in the contact name. It would be much easier if the contact search would allow me to search anywhere in the name.
For instance, if I have Smith, John, and I have 3 Smith contacts, but only 1 John contact, I should be able to type "email hello to john", instead of having to type "email hello to smith".
