My comcast.net email account gets frozen just before my inbox opens when using Mozilla Firefox as my browser. This does not happen when using Internet Explorer. A Comcast service rep has attempted to fix this problem with no results. I've had my email account reset, I've cleared cookies and history, etc and tried rebooting. Any suggestions?
I've got some problem with firefox 3. It's now on rc3 but I already had it sometimes with the other rc/beta's, when it crashes (such as infinite loop or flash animation) it's impossible to kill the firefox process in the task manager or with sysinternals process-explorer.
It is really really annoying to have to reboot my entire computer just to restart firefox !
When I try to kill it, it just tells me : unauthorized access........
It seams that deep monitor can kill it, but it is frustrating to have to resort to a third party utility just to be able to use correctly one of my favorite applications.
On my Powerbook G4, Firefox is slow and almost daily it hangs, then causes all of my applications to hang- can't force quit any apps or do anything except shut down the computer. How can this problem be resolved?
There are a few different filetypes that Firefox (3.0.3) seems to despise opening, but the one that I encounter the most frequently (and the only one I can remember) is PDF files. If I click a link for a PDF, fx thinks for a while, and then crashes, giving me the option to send a crash report and reboot. If I right-click and save the link, it works fine, but I'd like to be able to open PDFs in the browser window.
I (THINK) that some PDFs do work, and I seem to remember hitting upon the epiphany a few weeks ago that it's PDFs saved on a Mac that cause my fx to crash (Vista Ultimate).
Is this a known issue with Adobe/Mac/Firefox?
(it might be interesting to note that I cannot export to .doc [for example] the PDFs saved on a Mac because of the following error:
"Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error:
Bad PDF; could not read page structure (bad page contents). <bad> [7]
Please note that some pages of this document may have been changed. Because of this failure, you are advised to not save these changes."
FF 3.0.3 crashes and closes upon loading of iGoogle. I have narrowed down the cause of the crash to a conflict between Ubiquity 0.1.2 and a specific iGoogle gadget "National Geographic Photos" by gWidgets (http://www.google.com/ig/directory?ty...). I haven't experienced any problems once I deleted that gadget. Note: I tested each of my FF extensions and plugins, and each of the iGoogle gadgets I had, and even tested with a different iGoogle account. I have the standard commands that shipped with Ubiquity. I also informed the makers of the iGoogle gadget.
Mozilla Crash Reporter has come up, but whenever I choose Restart Mozilla, it comes back to the Crash Reporter. I've tried running in Safe Mode, and even choosing a minimal boot-up and a blank session, after a couple of seconds, BAM! Crash Reporter.
After Firefox 3 updated to 3.1 it keeps crashing and/or keeps locking up other programs on my computer when its running. I had to uninstall Firefox 3. After I did everything on my cpmputer is working and running fast and smoothly like it should. How do I report this to Firefox Tech's so they can fix this big bad bug? I really like Firefox 3, I want it back, How can I get Firefox 3 with out the 3.1 update?
I think it would be a great feature if ubiquity would have an option to mirror itself on all of your installations of Firefox. I have Firefox on all of my computers, and rather than having to add commands to every computer every time I find one I like or create, having them auto-update themselves would be awesome (much like Foxmarks keeps my Bookmarks mirrored).
Also, the clearing of commands when clearing private data and/or crashing needs to go NOW, not later, because even more than having my commands not on every PC is having my commands disappear all together.
If this idea has already been presented and I didn't see it, just ignore me. :)
Why doesn't my email generated by this plug in doesn't look the same?
When I select an image and text, I don't see the image and text in the right way like in the promo video? And the receiving person doesn't see the image either just some HTML-like tags!
