Inappropriate?Where are you seeing these issues and what specifically seems to be the problem?

Inappropriate?Hi Thomas,
I'm using the FlickrRSS widget on my blog here: http://xxdesmusxx.net/wp/ The "Recent Pics" on the right side display as a 3 x 2 (rows x columns) grid in Firefox 3, but in Firefox 2 they just display as a line of 4 pictures. Here is the CSS I am using:
/* ---------- FlickrRSS ------------*/
#flickrrss img {
float:left;
margin: 0px 0px 8px 8px;
background:#3f4e4e;
padding:2px;
width: 62px;
height: 62px
}
#flickrrss img:hover {
background:#aaa;

Inappropriate?Less of a "line" of four pictures and more of a stair stepping in Camino 1.6.1:

I don't have Fx 2 installed I don't think, but I'm assuming that's the same problem? I'm looking into it but I don't know right now what the cause/fix is. -
Inappropriate?Yes, that's how it looks on Firefox 2 (Windows Vista) as well.
You're right...not a "line" so much as a stair stepping. That's a better description for it. -
Inappropriate?Right now I'm thinking that this is just a bug in Firefox 2 that's fixed in Firefox 3, which should be coming out officially in the near future.
-
Inappropriate?That's what I assumed. I assumed that when I noticed that IE7 and IE8 both fail at it. That's what lead me to believe it was a CSS rendering bug that was fixed in Firefox 3. Yes, I'm making fun of IE7/8 ;)
-
Inappropriate?There also seems to be some font sizing issues in FF3 as compared to FF2. Our front-end guy ted could tell you more. I'll ping him about this topic.
-
Just curious as if you ever got a response from Ted. -
Inappropriate?Another interesting thing I've noticed is that the 1st image is 2 pixels higher than the 2nd image. See the screenshots that show this ...notice the 1st is 635 pixels from the top, and the 2nd is 637 pixels from the top. The remaining images (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th) don't show this difference.

Inappropriate?xxdesmus: I had a question from a user on IRC when I brought up your problem.
<kliu0x52> Tom: any reason why the user is floating img? img is inline, so it shouldn't need to be floated
-
Inappropriate?I suppose there isn't any particular reason. Floating the images just achieved the desired effect (of a 3 x 2 grid without using tables). If there is a different way of achieving the same result I'm all ears! :)
-
Inappropriate?How was this problem supposedly solved? It was not solved, you simply told me to try something else.
I’m frustrated
1 person says
this solves the problem
-
Inappropriate?So, you're saying you have a problem that newer versions of Firefox have fixed a problem in older versions of Firefox? Am I correct?
-
Inappropriate?I'm horribly sorry. I misread my own problem here. Sorry. The problem is solved, you are correct.
I’m silly
