Inappropriate?tools>addons>locate and click ubiq under extensions> click options
takes u to another page
then just goto the skins sections at the top and change the skin to the default -
Inappropriate?i tried that but i can't access the skins section because the url starts with chrome:// which i am assuming is for the chrome browser. i am using the latest version of FF and i'm not switching to chrome.

Inappropriate?Hmm, I'm not sure I am interpreting you correctly. Switching to Chrome? You mean the Google browser? If that's what you mean, that chrome URL you see has noting to do with Google Chrome, but an internal URL of your Firefox installation.
Typing chrome://ubiquity/content/skinlist.html on the address bar will open an internal HTML page where you can then choose a different skin for Ubiquity. However, you sound as if FF is not displaying that page when you browse to that chrome URL, which is odd (my comments here are of little use if that's the case). You should see something like this:

Also, you could type about:ubiquity in the address bar to get to Ubiquity's setup page without having to open the addons panel and hunt for the extension's entry.
There's a nice article on FF's chrome URL's here.
