Updaded to Firefox 3.5, now Firefox is unable to connect to the server why? Uninstalled 3.5 went back to 3.1 and now it will not connect. What's the FIX???

More likely than not, this is caused by security software on your computer. Software firewalls that allow/deny internet access on a per-application basis may no longer recognize an application as allowed if it's updated, even after you revert to the old version.

The firewall does this as a failsafe against tampering, so that malware can't pretend to be an authorized application to get by the firewall, but unfortunately, a lot of firewalls won't tell you this is happening.

Keep in mind, if there is an existing rule in your firewall software for Firefox, you'll probably need to remove that rule and add a new one allowing Firefox to access the internet. You'll likely have to repeat this process when you go back up to 3.5.
