Urgent! How can I reclaim my thunderbird inbox? I left an out of office reply using the message templates when I went on leave. On return at the end of October, I cancelled it but found that I cannot recieve incoming mails anymore soon afterwards. People send me mails and it just doesn't get to me. Please help me solve this problem urgently as this is my official email ands it is crucial that I get it up and running yesterday. Please save a brother!!!

i mysteriously solved my mysterious problem. i did 2 things(and i'm not 100% sure which if either of these solve my problem). first, i downloaded comcast desktop dpctpr to diagnose the problem. it seemed sure that my problem was with my password, so i clicked fix it and nothing happened. so i went to tools and then options and privacy and password for the umpteenth time and started messing around trial and error style. clicked edit saved passwords-clicked show passwords and there was my old original password that i'd just switched back to all in lower case. when i was prompted for my password for the 18 millionth time for some reason i had the caps lock button on and when i typed in my password and clicked ok suddenly all my messages flowed in. i just checked my saved passwords and first it has the lower case version and below that the capitalized version. also, in one of my many attempts to fix this, i tried thunderbird 3.0. i decided to uninstall that and install the latest 2.whatever, thinking that 3.0 might not have all the bugs worked out , but apparently, neither does 2.0. my grand conclusion is that thunderbird is kinda screwed up. i don't know if this help anybody, but there it is.good luck. -

Lots of sympathy for you! It does seem that Thunderbird brings plenty of problems which normal users cannot resolve. I've switched to Google Mail! -
Inappropriate?I'm close to this situation: I receive my e-mails in TB but do not open! Best of all: after close the program and open again in another day, the e-mails has gone!!!! Can you help me?

Inappropriate?A recurring problem: Incoming message is either to long (photos) which backup other messages. I use Thunderbird for business and communicaction, Can't find a solution. What to do?

Inappropriate?ThunderBird has serious issues, the development team should release a better version or a fix immeditely
i use Windows xp sp2, and i'm unable to recieve any messages to my inbox, from my gmail account even after setting up everything as mentioned in gmail help and thunderbird help. I have also disbled AVG email scan.
I’m frustrated

This is clearly a widespread view of Thunderbird, and leads people to abandon Mozilla, in favour of Google and Chrome. Since they are all "free", it is difficult to see why might act, but easy to see that goodwill and custom are lost! -

Inappropriate? You are right. I have already moved to Google. Many people have complained about the problem and it has been far to long for the issue to have been resolved. It is a pity! TB has been a great product up until now.
