differentiate applications with modrails?
We have two applications running on passenger, but the reporting on the site is all lumped together. Is there a way to differentiate applications, via a label or pathname?

Hi Josh,
Good news. This is now supported in the latest agent release. Look for a section at the top of the newrelic.yml file that explains how to set the application name with "app_name: MyApp".

Monitoring multiple passenger instances on the same host is currently not supported. We are working on a solution and hope to have something out in the very near future. If you would like to be notified and/or would like more info on this please let us know...

Does this apply to non-passenger apps too? For example, if I am running three different apps on the same server (different mongrels/virtual hosts), can I run separate passenger accounts for each one? If so, how do I distinguish them? Do I put the app name in the first/last name field in profile? Do I have to have separate email addresses?

This should not be a problem for mongrel based apps (and soon for passenger apps as well). Just create separate accounts and configure each app with its own RPM plug-in and license file accordingly.
When you go to create a new account, it will prompt you for a new account name. You can use the same email and contact info if you wish. Take a look and see its not clear.
