Option to Get Notifications at specific times of the day
This is a win-win situation since it will most likely reduce overall server load.
Maybe have global time options, or a better feature, Feed-specific time options.
Of course you'll need to set your time zone before this can happen.
Something like:
- Alert Daily @ 5am
- Weekly: Alert on Monday, Tuesday and Friday only.
- Hourly: Alert every x hours
- Silent Period: Don't alert during 10am-4am
- Start Alerting feed on specific date
- Stop Alerting feed on specific date (& auto delete feed?)
Example Uses:
- Morning Weather Alert - Before you go outside - Annoying if you get alerts all day.
- Get Alerts right after you finish work/class instead of during class.
- At the end of the day - get all social/non-work related alerts, like facebook, so as not to lose focus.
- Alert every X hour: good for checking weather during hiking/travel where a laptop/electricity is scarce.
- Start and stop alerts on specific dates - good for traveling to different places on specific dates and getting weather alerts for that place only.

Inappropriate?This feature set is definitely on our roadmap; however, it is a little far out on the horizon. We plan on making it so that you could set specific times based on the source and destination combination. ie. weather alerts to sms only at a specific time.

Inappropriate?I would extend that idea to setting times to enable/disable SMS. I like getting SMS notices, but not while I'm sleeping.

Can't you move some minimal part of this forward on the roadmap and leave the rest of the bells and whistles for later. SMS notices at 3am are the most annoying. (I like having my phone on for emergency phone calls or as an alarm.) Please, either allow SMS messages sent to notify.me to "stop" and "start" SMS notifications or allow blocking SMS noticing for a certain daily begin time and end time.

Thanks for your feedback ... looks like getting a crude scheduler together for destinations is a popular request ... we hear you. I can't promise much right now, but it's certainly been bumped up in priority, we'll update this thread once we have a better idea for a timeline.

Inappropriate?You can now set delivery time for sms messages. From the destinations page, click on preferences for the sms destination, select your timezone and message delivery start/end time.
