Centralized account managment
Centralized account management would be awesome. I know there's something in the OpenID protocol that allows websites to get some of your information from your OpenID provider. What if whenever you updated you email address, phone number, or whatever with your OpenID provider it would automatically update every site you use OpenID with? You could also let it control sites in a few other ways, for example making it so you can close accounts or change privacy setting. Is this a practical idea?

Inappropriate?What you're proposing is actually working already. Like you said, there are extensions to the OpenID protocol which allow sharing of profile data. The extensions are Simple Registration and Attribute Exchange. The former is more commonly deployed while the latter is more flexible. Both parties, the OpenID provider and the relying party, have to support the extensions, though.
Whenever you log in to a relying party with your OpenID, it (the relying party) can pull the profile information from your provider. So it's not necessary to push the information to all relying parties. So you only need to update the profile at your OpenID provider. :)
Closing accounts and changing privacy settings is not possible (yet). Though actually, I don't think it ever will.

Inappropriate?This is something I have been waiting to develop for a long time now. The privacy and account management ideas are certainly two I hadn't thought of. The privacy settings would certainly be very difficult to setup and the account management even more so. We may never see these ideas implemented, but then again some brilliant people and groups are working on it. Who knows what time will reveal.
