Can a star rating be in two places at once and still work?
I have a blog which uses the outbrain widget perfectly (http://lifeismootiful.blogspot.com) I also have a cafepress shop which relates to each of the blog posts (i.e my blog shows the designs which they can then buy on cafepress). Can I display the same blog 'star ratings' on my cafepress shop too? so people can see the ratings that each design has been given? can the same rating be shown in two places (blog and cafepress) at the same time and still work? if so how?

Inappropriate?Hi-
Our ratings and rating history are associated with the permalink of the post that was rated. For instance, we store rating history against the following URL: http://lifeismootiful.blogspot.com/20....
If you wanted to present that rating history next to the same design on your cafepress store-- and allow readers to rate if from there as well, so both sites contribute to the ratings-- you could in theory "trick" us into thinking the URL on cafepress is the same. The way to do this would be to put our raw javascript into your cafepress site where you want star ratings to appear and then dynamically pass through the appropriate lifeismootiful URL. Our javascript would look like this (drop PERMALINK HERE is where you would need to put in the lifeismootiful URL of the right design). -
Amazing! but how can I then change the recommendations to only my site and not all sites? do i need to change the javascript? at the moment on the scooby moo section it links to 'other' sites. How can I stop that?
Thanks for your help so far. Outbrain is superb as always. -
Inappropriate?Hi Starinajar,
Yep. All you need to do is claim your blog and and set your recommendations to limited.
Go to our website - www.outbrain.com. Register, and claim your blog. Then once you have claimed, go to our site, sign in and click on the manage blogs tab. Then click on settings next to that blog and change the recommendations settings to limited.
Let me know if you run into any problems.
Thanks,
Kate
