How do I completely delete the Star Ratings widget?
I want to delete the outbrain star ratings from my blog and user Blogger in Draft's 5-Star Ratings system. I've deleted the widget, but the code must still be buried somewhere on my blog, and I can't find it.

Inappropriate?OK, here's an explanation of what is going on.
I successfully added the Outbrain widget to my blog a couple weeks ago, and it worked just like it should. I then decided to remove it, as I wasn't a huge fan of the ads that came along with it. I deleted the widget, and it stopped showing up in my posts. Great, right?
Well, I then decided to use the 5-Star Ratings feature on Blogger in Draft. However, it would not work on my blog even though it was an integrated feature.
To troubleshoot, I set up a test blog that looked exactly like the real one, on which the 5-Star Ratings feature worked fine (the Blogger in Draft one). I copied and pasted the HTML code from the test blog into the real blog (after clearing all HTML from the real blog, including widgets). I thought for sure this would clear away any leftover HTML code that would prevent the 5-star ratings from working.
So after copying/pasting the test blog HTML over, the Outbrain Ratings reappeared on my blog! I never put the Outbrain widget on the test blog, which leads me to believe there is code from Outbrain buried somewhere on my real blog that I am not able to access.
How could the widget still be there when I completely replaced all the HTML, and removed it from the Layout? -
Inappropriate?To answer your questions.
1. I only see the rater if I copy/paste HTML code from my test blog (where I never put the widget)
2. No, I cannot find the code anywhere.

Hi blakelyn,
I just visited this url and i don't see the outbrain widget on any of your pages. Is this the url where you are experiencing the problem? If so what browser are you using?

Inappropriate?Hi Kate,
I've just copied/pasted the Test code over again, and now the widget shows. Do you see it now? I am using Firefox.

Inappropriate?Hey, I see this bit of script that belongs to us here:

You should be able to just delete this from what you are pasting in to the template and i think that will do the trick. If you have questions and it's easier you can gchat me at OutbrainKate@gmail.com

One other point here - you are absolutely free to opt out of the sponsored links and turn off the recommendations on the outbrain widget if you want to continue to use it. That would leave just the ratings and no links.
Let me know if you want to do this and need help. You have access to all of these settings in your outbrain dashboard.
