Most popular article doesn't show up in the Most Popular Posts sidebar
Hello guys,
The most popular article on my website doesn't show up at all in the "Most Popular Posts" side bar.
BUT it's visible in the blog report as the most popular rated article with 40 ratings at 5 stars...Any idea? Instead the second most popular article show up in first position, on my website.
"Visual archive N/A 40 5.00 98.51 "
Thank a lot for your support.

Inappropriate?Hi Artificial Owl -
I actually know your blog - it's really great. We were so happy to see that you installed.
To answer your question - the most popular widget takes age of the post into account. Most popular lists are sort of a feedback loop - once something is on the list, people visit it more and it gets even more popular. For this reason we use the age of the post to keep the content in the most popular widget fresh.
So the short answer - yes you're right. There will be posts with more higher ratings but they will not always be listed as the top post.
Feel free to email me if you have questions. kate[at]outbrain[dot]com
