Coda should support UTF-8 encoded HTML source
I was surprised to find out that currently, Coda does not support UTF8-encoded source. Even if you don't care about non-English development, you'd still expect to be able to natively enter "smart quotes" and other typography that Unicode very nicely provides.

Inappropriate?Coda definitely does support UTF-8...
Can you give me a little more explanation on what you saw that made you think Coda doesn't? Do you have a file that's not loading properly that you can maybe send to us?
If Coda's auto-detection of encoding didn't work, did you try choosing "Text > Encoding > Unicode (UTF-8)" from the menu? -
Inappropriate?Oops.
You are right.
Everything works now, once I found the Text > UTF-8 option. I just inserted a UTF-8 symbol and expected it to work, without setting encoding previously. :)
I’m happy to find out it was my bad
