Coda + SVN = Booya
Ok, so I had one other hope for an addition to Coda.
I wish there was a more designer friendly Subversion client for the mac and seeing what Panic did in the realm of text editors with Coda, I think this would be a beautiful add-on for those intimidated by the Terminal.

And this would be the _other_ most-requested Coda feature. :) It's on the docket for sure.

I am (as of writing) floatin' around the search engines, looking for how-to guides for installing Subversion for OS X.
This is scary stuff, so I would really appreciate a double-click installer.
People like me are stepping into a very new realm, one not fully understood.
Assuming I do manage to get Subversion installed, how would I go about backing everything up?
Scary stuff...

It might be good to write a more generic "source code repository" architecture, then have plugins for specific models. That way, the mechanism for a simple check in/check out a la Dreamweaver would have the same basic look and feel as having SVN, CVS or any other SCM.
I’m excited

I agree with this... especially since stuff like git is becoming more and more popular... abstracting the support will allow us options! -
Inappropriate? Please count me in as another vote for some sort of generic "Source Control" menu. I'd love to be able to use git right from Coda!

Inappropriate?Yay. Just saw the email. I knew there was a reason I bought Coda.
I’m at work and can't wait to get home to try it on my Mac.

Inappropriate? It doesn't work really good for me with my Google Code SVN repository.
Maybe I'm just a noob with SVN but it does work for me in Versions...
I’m not very happy

Inappropriate?Versions (beta 5) included a Subversion library that is not compatible with the default svn command line tool installed on Leopard. If you checked out a working copy with Versions b5, the default svn command line tool (and Coda) will not recognize that working copy.
Panic said to fix this problem you can trash the working copy you checked out with Versions b5 and re-checkout a working copy with Coda or the default 'svn' command line tool. Although probably goes without say, but, MAKE SURE TO CHECK-IN ANY UNCOMMITTED CHANGES BEFORE TRASHING YOUR LOCAL COPY. -
Inappropriate?Does Coda do svn:ignore? Searching help and Google yielded no help.
It seems like Coda can only "add", "rollback", and "commit".

I'm with you here, it would be great with some more information in the help documents about how SVN integration works. -
Ditto! Intro to SVN for non-devs, how Coda executes SVN, et al, please! And if anyone knows of any good articles, please post them here. -
