Show Change Marks useful but room for improvement?

I love this feature since it allows me to keep track of my edits in large files BUT two things would make this feature much less frustrating:

1) Allow it to be sticky, like a check-box in the preferences, or at the very least add a keyboard shortcut for it.
2) Allow other colors to be used for the highlighting. The neon colors can really hurt one's eyes after working on things for a while. Allowing dull colors or opacity would be great to wash the colors out (like the "Highlight Current Line" color)

Thanks for making such an awesome product! This new version of Coda is a huge improvement and much more usable than the alternatives :)
